Amazon has paid $19.85 million for 91.5 acres of land in Goodyear along the booming Loop 303 corridor in the far West Valley.

The online retailer closed the deal July 1. The 91.5 acres is near Cotton Lane and Indian School Road on the west side of Loop 303 in Goodyear.

Some other major industrial projects going into the area include Glendale 303 (G303), a Class A industrial development that, at build-out, will total up to 1.2 million square feet along the Loop 303 corridor; and Park303, a major industrial master-planned development that at build-out will accommodate up to 4.5 million square feet of ultra-modern, freeway-fronting Class A industrial space in Glendale.

Amazon has deep roots in the West Valley. The City of Goodyear announced in July 2019 that Amazon would open a Delivery Station in Goodyear — the company’s third facility in the city limits, joining a fulfillment center and global operations center. At the time there were already approximately 1,100 Amazon employees in Goodyear.

Goodyear Mayor Georgia Lord said at the time, “The Amazon Delivery Station brings additional jobs, revenue and growth to our community. We are proud to partner with Amazon as they expand their footprint in Goodyear. Amazon’s last-mile logistic system is a huge win for our local workforce, entrepreneurs, and our citizens.”
